Two decades in the field. Three years in the classroom.

I spent 20 years in oil and gas, working in a range of roles across both the office and the field. Along the way, I kept meeting talented colleagues and new hires who understood the work but struggled with the specific vocabulary of the industry — the terms that come up in meetings, on site, and in everyday communication.

That observation sparked a shift: for the past three years, I've been teaching business English to young professionals from all industries, from all over the world, helping them build the confidence and vocabulary to thrive at work.

Workplace Words is the product of both experiences combined — real industry knowledge paired with real teaching experience — built to fill a gap I saw firsthand.
